9 HRs in 1 game!

IU had just 5 homeruns through 10 games, but yesterday vs. Morehead State at Sembower Field, IU exploded for 9 homeruns. Yes, 9 homeruns in 1 game! Preseason All-American Josh Phegley had 3 of his own, while Crawford, Sabourin, Dickerson, Schutz, Webber, and Dunning all chipped in as well. In total, IU recorded 22 hits with 12 players recording at least one hit. Despite all the homers leaving Sembower off the IU bats, Chris Squires, in his first start of the year, held Morehead State to just 5 hits and 3 earned runs in 6 innings pitched. Freshmen Marshall Gorham and Matt Igel and Sophomore Kyle Leiendecker also all pitched one shutout inning a piece.
