Big Ten Tournament
The Big Ten Tournament kicks off for IU on Wednesday with a first round match-up against rival Purdue. After taking 2 of 3 in the final weekend of the regular season, the Hoosiers locked up the conference's #3 seed. NCAA Tournament bids will be on the line at Huntington Park in Columbus later this week, and IU probably needs to win the whole thing in order to be included among the NCAA's field of 64. Although the Hoosiers dropped 2 of 3 at Purdue three weekends ago, the lone win came with Arnett on the mound. Let's hope IU puts it all together in Columbus and takes home the hardware on Saturday.
I'll be back with a more in-depth preview of the Purdue game later this evening or tomorrow, but until then I will leave you with some stats for the upcoming match-ups. Go Hoosiers!

I want revenge on Purdue!
ReplyDeleteMe too George! For taking 2 of 3 from us this year and knocking us out of the tourney last year. Plus, a first rd win puts Bashore against Minnesota and he hasn't pitched against them yet this year so that should be an advantage.
ReplyDeleteAre any of you guys going to coming to Columbus for the tourny? I will be there all week and i can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI'll probably go if we make it to the Friday, but I'll probably have to tivo the first two games. Maybe we will play OSU on Friday!
ReplyDeleteIll be watchin on BTN. Purdue probably hit Arnett the best of any team this year and have been hot as of late so it could shake up to be a good one. i want a blowout though bc I hate Purdont!
