Quick Hits: Awards, Interviews

Awards
The national recognition and attention keeps rolling in for Eric Arnett and Josh Phegley as well as for Matt Bashore. Both Arnett and Phegley were named two of thirty semifinalists by USA Baseball for the Golden Spikes Award, which is given annually to the top amateur baseball player in the country. The list of past winners is an impressive one, and it includes the likes of Tim Lincecum, David Price and J.D. Drew among many other current and former MLB players.

Arnett was also recently named one of five finalists for the College Baseball Foundation's National Pitcher of the Year award, while both Arnett and Bashore were named to the National All-Star Lineup by the College Baseball Foundation based upon their performances during the Big Ten Tournament. It is also interesting to note that Louisville's Andrew Clark, who was named the Big East Tournament's MOP after hitting .500 with six runs scored and eight RBI's, was also named to the National All-Star Lineup this week.

Congrats to Eric, Josh and Matt as well as to the entire Hoosier program for an incredible season thus far. Let's just hope we've got a lot of games left to play.
