For those still wondering if the lone drafted Hoosier left to sign would return to IU next season, the answer is not a good one for Hoosiers fans as Jake Dunning is listed as an infielder (rather than a pitcher) on the Rookie League AZL Giants roster.
In 1 game thus far playing alongside fellow former Hoosier Evan Crawford, Dunning went 2 for 6 with 2 RBIs and 1 run scored.
Dunning leaves a huge void on the Hoosier infield. Look for returning players Tyler Rogers, Cody Webber, Ethan Wilson and newcomers Michael Basil, Micah Johnson, and Jerry Kleman to compete for the starting SS spot.
