I'm a little late with this, but here is the box score and recap courtesy of IUHoosiers.com from IU's 10-3 victory over Akron on Saturday in the finale of their schedule at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. Sophomore Drew Leininger continued his mastery on the mound as he extended his consecutive scoreless innings streak to 26 in picking up his 3rd win of the season. Freshman shortstop Michael Basil led a contingent of 6 different Hoosiers who recorded a pair of hits at the plate with 3 runs batted in. As a team, IU cranked out 14 hits and put double-digit runs on the board for the second game in a row.
The Hoosiers have now won 4 in a row and 5 of their last 6 to even their record at 9-9 on the year. Next up for IU is a trip to Morehead, KY for a game at Morehead State today at 3pm ET followed by their home opener at Sembower Field in Bloomington tomorrow against Xavier at 3:05pm ET.
Go Hoosiers!

Hey, you jinxed them out with the 4-game winning streak article (isn't that like, "..psst,he's pitching a no-hitter bad karma)!!
ReplyDelete20-15...rats. How can you not win with 15 runs.
GO HOOSIERS!!
Because you can't win giving up 20!
ReplyDelete.....I deserved that one.
ReplyDeleteGO HOOSIERS!!
Monar playing first is good for him getting back to the mound soon, Leininger has been beyond great, and Wilson is holding opponents to a .100 BA. Those 3 would make a great rotation. For now, I like Stadler or Sabourin in place of Monar. And, any word on when Carr will be back?
ReplyDeleteHeres my lineup:
3B - Johnson
CF - Lambert
1B - Sabourin
LF - Dickerson
DH - Monar
RF - Earley
C - Lyon
2B - Rogers
SS - Basil
If they throw lefty:
ReplyDelete3B - Johnson

C - Swift
2B - Rogers
SS - Basil
RF - Cureton?
I'm gonna buy a lottery ticket... will you pick the numbers for me? ... I really want to win and with the right selections I'm sure that I will.
ReplyDeleteSo, you are going to compare picking a lineup to picking lottery numbers? I guess I didn't have your son high enough or in the lineup!
ReplyDeleteMy bad, I made it way too complicated. I'll say it reeeeeeeal slowwwwwww... Skip is the coach, and unless that's you just be happy with who he plays... Okay?
ReplyDeleteI think everyone can voice their opinion as long as they are not bashing other players. Does your opinion matter? No. But if you want to voice it, I think the comments section is a way for you to do so.
