Hoosiers Top Bucks 6-4 in Game 2

"Leininger was lights out, Q was Q, and Earley played like a beast today. Good Big Ten win today."
- Tracy Smith

It took extra innings, but Indiana came from behind on Saturday to defeat Ohio State 6-4 in 10 innings. The Hoosiers pushed a run across in the 8th to tie the score at 4 and then scored 2 more in the top half of the 10th before Chris Squires shut the Buckeyes down in the last half of the final frame to seal the deal for IU. Drew Leininger picked up the win on the mound (his 5th of the year) for the Hoosiers, who are now 15-14 overall and 2-3 in Big Ten play.

Great win today for Indiana. Let's hope they can pick up another W in this afternoon's series finale and even their record in conference action.

Go Hoosiers!

  1. Earley has been great as of late. He had moved his BA up to .333 with 5 HRs and has become the person we need to protect Dickerson in the lineup. How about Monar warming up in the pen? That is good news for Hoosier fans.
