Wareham Gatemen Named 6th Best Collegiate Summer Team

The Wareham Gatemen have been named Perfect Games/Summer Ball's #6 Collegiate summer baseball team for the week of 6/22. The entire list can be seen here. As most Hoosier fans know, arguably our top returning pitcher (Blake Monar) and hitter (Alex Dickerson) both play for the Gatemen. If nothing else, this shows both top talent at Indiana University as well as the great opportunities to play for some of the best summer leagues in the country against the best competition in the nation. Keep it up guys!

    I just wish their lead off hitter would finally come around. Dang wood bats making all the pitchers look good.

    I would love to see a fellow Big Ten guy like LaMarre come around because the Gatemen have 2 OFs from Arkansas and 1 from Texas that will all be pushing for playing time now that the College World Series is over.

    I wish I could get up there to take a game in, but you can watch a lot of them online if any other Hoosier fans are interested.

    Michigan's Ryan LaMarre named Gatemen's player of game and IU's Blake Monar gets the win on the mound today. Go Big Ten!
